Hat pitched the series to Kingson and the series had its world premiere in late 1996 and ended on 1999, with three seasons of 15 episodes each produced. During its run, the series had a cult following fandom which continues to this day. A special on the series came on Kingson on October 12, 2016. Comic books have been published since 2009, 10 years after the series ended. A spinoff series is yet to be announced.
