Star Trek takes place in the future, in the 22nd Century, the 23rd Century, and the 24th Century. Earth has become part of a United Federation of Planets, whose mission is to seek out new life and new civilizations. The Federation strives for peace, but are forced into war with other races such as: the Klingons, Romulan, Borg, and the Dominion.
