The 2011 Pittsburgh Steelers season will be the team's 79th season as a professional sports franchise and as a member of the National Football League (NFL). It is expected to be the twelfth season under the leadership of general manager Kevin Colbert and the fifth under head coach Mike Tomlin. The Steelers will attempt to return to the Super Bowl and defend their AFC championship from 2010, when they finished 12–4 and won the AFC North division.
