The Beyonderbane was an infinitely powerful machine created by the arch-demon Mephisto in order to destroy the omnipotent alien known as the Beyonder, however in doing so the machine would ultimately destroy a massive chunk of the multiverse. This alongside the fact it was a creation of a demon many considered to be Satan made it a less than desirable solution even to the Beyonder.
