The Desperate Patient is one of the many ordinary citizens who developed super powers after being infected by Future Lex Luthor's Exobytes. Coming to the Metropolis General Hospital's newly created "Metahuman Wing", she was one of many patients who have escaped the wing after enduring numerous experiments at the hands of the wing's warden, Doctor Psycho.
