The New Daytona International Speedway was officially opened at the end of the 2058 NASCAR Google Cup Series season. After the 2058 Daytona 500, the "old Daytona International Speedway" was closed permanently except for testing (re-allowed after the 2019 NASCAR Google Cup season because the bad economy made a 10-year ban necessary) and the 24 hour race at Daytona.
