The Funguar is an enemy in Final Fantasy X, encountered on the Mushroom Rock Road. Its main attack is Fire and when attacked physically it commonly counters with Pollen which causes Sleep to the entire party. If the party is not properly prepared, this small mushroom-like fungus can be deadly as after the first attack it will put all party members to sleep and then continually cast Fire, which does not wake characters up. Facing three of these fiends can be a daunting challenge if the party has no protection from Sleep attacks.
