Elf is a legendary creature who is said to live at the North Pole with Santa Claus. The legend goes that they make toys for the good children of the world for Santa to deliver on Christmas Eve. Department stores will often hire a man to portray Santa. Families then go to the store so the children can tell the man what they want. Other people will also dress like elves to help create the illusion.
