The Ferret Man, colloquially known as Richard Whiteley, was famous for being bitten by a ferret on TV. In his spare time, he was also the long time presenter of the TV game show Countdown on the UK's Channel 4 and Yorkshire's no. 1 celebrity, which was broadcast twice nightly. Many believed him to be the perfect human, who would go on jumbling up letters for the rest of time, though they were proved wrong when he died in June 2005.
