James "Jim" Vance (born April 2, 1953) is an American comic book writer, author and playwright who has writen several comic books in Dark Horse Comics' Aliens and Predator lines. In the comics field, Vance is perhaps best known for his work from respected indie publisher Kitchen Sink Press and in particular the series Kings in Disguise, which was also Vance's introduction to comics writing in 1988.
