Judith Barker (born 22nd June, 1943) is a British actress best remembered for her role on Coronation Street as Janet Barlow, arguably the programme's first "super-bitch", intermittently from 1969 to 1977. Prior to her being cast as Janet, she had a minor part on the Street in 1965, as Babs and also appeared in the spin-off series Pardon the Expression as Shirley Dickson and in Turn out the Lights in 1967 as Ann Sankey. Her husband is Kenneth Alan Taylor who played Cecil Newton in the Street between 1987 and 1990.
