The Battle of Kaia island was a battle that took place six months after E-Day. The Locust Horde was able to find a way to tunnel under the ocean to hit Kaia island, which was 2000 kilometers away from Galangi island. The COG army tried evacuating the population while the Gears fought off the Corpsers but they literally ran over the armored vehicles the COG brought in to help fight the battle. A group of Gears and civilians escaped from Kaia island to Noroa.
