The selection interface is the newer of the two Foldit game interfaces. As the name suggests, the selection interface involves selecting segments. Compared to the original interface in Foldit, the selection interface is "modeless", meaning that most tools can be accessed at any time. (Some tools are only available when one or more segments are selected.)
