Kup's act of selfishness would haunt him for the rest of his existence (so far, at least). When the Decepticons arrived on Dread to take over, they immediately killed half the Orb, and put the rest to work in the same manner that the Orb had forced others to work in the mines. In 2016, Kup returned to Dread and freed the slaves, including members of Kup's former recon team. The Dread slaves were patched up by the Autobots and returned to their planets of origin.
