During the Battle of Pelruan, Braley provided covering fire from KR Three-Three against the Polyps and Lambent Leviathan attacking Pelruan. However, the Leviathan shot Polyps at the King Raven, destroying it and killing Braley and pilot Eldon Rorry. The deaths of Braley and Rorry hit the rest of the Raven pilots hard, since they were the first casualties the Raven crews had suffered in a long time.
