Dr. Nicholas Rush is one of the main characters in the 2009-2011 sci-fi series Stargate Universe. He is played by Robert Carlyle who has also played Gaz Schofield, Hamish Macbeth and Rumplestitlskin. Rush was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland and his father was a shipyard worker. He studied at Oxford University and worked two jobs and eventually married a woman named Gloria who passed away before the events of the series.
