The 2008 Sam's Town 400 was a Craftsman Truck Series event held at Texas Motor Speedway on June 6, 2008. Ron Hornaday, Jr. claimed his second victory of the year to retake the points lead, leading all but thirty-two circuits and holding off a strong effort by Kyle Busch. Busch, for his part, was the solid runner-up after starting last due to a driver change. It was the first leg of his journey as he attempted to become the first driver in NASCAR history to run three major series races at three different racetracks on the same weekend. Hornaday now held a 45-point championship lead on the surging Matt Crafton (7th). [1]
