Robin Weaver (1878 – ?) was a resident of Burkittsville, Maryland. In March of 1886, eight-year-old Robin encountered a woman in the woods whose feet never appeared to touch the ground. The old lady led her by the hand to a house in the woods, took her into the basement and left her there, telling her she’d be right back. When the woman didn’t return for several hours, Robin got scared and crawled through a window, running home.
