Kumagai Katsuya is a character in the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni series, and a support officer who works at the Okinomiya police department. He first appears in Onikakushi-hen, when Ōishi Kuraudo tells him to get a patrol to help Maebara Keiichi before he claws out his throat. In Yakusamashi-hen, Hōjō Satoko asks him to come to her house to protect her and Furude Rika, but Kumagai is shot by a member of the Yamainu on his way there.
