Mampang Fortress is a great citadel located in the fastness of High Xamen. It was built by the Archmage and his followers. The fortress helped build the Archmage's ascendancy in the region, giving him both a stronghold and the rudiments of a kingdom within its walls. Mampang was perhaps one of the most unassailable places in all of Titan. The fortress rests inside the hollow of an extinct volcano and there is only a single narrow pass through the thick natural walls of solid rock surrounding it. Its front gate is magically locked and attended by guardposts, while its outer walls are several metres thick. Merely reaching Mampang from any direction on foot requires a perilous trek through the mountainous region of Xamen.
