Jungen Berryman is a mage working for the Gem Merchant's Guild. In their employ he is testing pearls and gems for their authenticity. Although Berryman works with the most valuable stones he isn't greedy and doesn't try to steel any. This makes Tunstall wonder if Berryman wasn't spelled against it. He is married to a rich woman. Matthias Tunstall, Clara Goodwin and Rebakah Cooper ask him for help in identifying the stones which have come into their possession. It turns out they are fire opals. Berryman later also helps them capturing the mage Vrinday Kayu together with Koramin Ingensra.
