Perhaps the most important political institution of Kizenia is the Royal Council. Although officially an advisory body for the monarch, the latter cannot take any decision without the approval of the Sfat. The body was created in 3176, following the declaration of independence of Kizenia, but was officially established in 3179, with the passing of the Establishment of the Royal Council Act. Due to its composition and role, the Royal Council is considered the political stronghold of the Kizenian aristocracy.
