The Union of the Arbiter's Mausoleum, also known as the Union, was formed in late 2553 by the Sangheili that still believed in the Great Journey, and that Thel 'Vadam and his supporters were heretics for forsaking it. Although the Union has occasionally cooperated with the Covenant Remnants, there was no official alliance between the two factions.
