Beltak claims that he's seen lots of bandits in the Cloud Forest outside of town, and doesn't like the looks of it. He seems to be friends with the Binsen sisters, Julla and Cathilla. With the return of the Maljin, Beltak wonders if the bandits made the red fog falling over Meren in order to "cover for an attack".
