Yanar was a female humanoid from the planet Atlec in the 24th century. She was the daughter of Debin, the ruler of Atlec. In the early 2360s, she fell in love with Benzan, the son of the ruler of Straleb. So that no one would find out about their forbidden relationship, they used Thadiun Okona, a transport captain, to deliver messages back and forth. The two "star-crossed lovers" relationship eventually led to Yanar becoming pregnant. To avoid war, Yanar told her father that the child belonged to Thadiun Okona. Yanar was portrayed by Rosalind Ingledew.
