The Well Of Knowledge is a location in the Smurf Forest that appeared in the cartoon show episode "Bookworm Smurf". It is where Papa Smurf and Sassette visited when the young Smurfling made all the books in the world disappear through a magic book that had no writing in it, to make a request that all the books in the world would be restored. The well asked for the one who made the wish to make the books disappear to offer up something of great value, which turned out to be a tear that comes from the heart when Sassette became desperate in her pleading for all the books to be restored. With the gift of the tear, the well granted the request.
