Hikitsu, real name Emutato Chen (Viz version: Emthatt Chen), is a Genbu Celestial Warrior. In the prequel series Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden, he journeys with Takiko after being freed of the responsibility of guarding his younger sister, Ayla, who was accidentally encased in a block of ice by Tomite. Along with his childhood friend Tomite, Hikitsu guards Genbu's Shinzaho as a spirit since their death.
