The AL-48 is a semi-automatic shotgun manufactured by Franchi S.p.A.. The gun is available in a variety of calibers, including 12 gauge and 20 gauge. Rounds are cycled through long recoil. Best known as one of the lightest autoloaders around, the Franchi AL48 is ideal for any hunting or shooting that involves walking and carrying. The reliable action does not use gas to cycle the action but is an inertial system in which the barrel itself recoils to begin the recycle process.
