Harry Potter was a licensed theme which was based on the Harry Potter movies produced by Warner Brothers (which are, in turn, based on the original series of 7 books of the same name by J.K. Rowling). The theme was introduced in 2001, as one of the LEGO Group's first major licenses, and initially ran until 2007. It then returned in 2010 (due to the 7th Harry Potter movie), and ran until 2012. The story of the theme revolves around a boy named Harry Potter, a young wizard, whose parents were murdered by Lord Voldemort, the greatest dark sorcerer of all time.
