The Ten Tribes of Capella (also the Ten Tribes of Ceres) was the governing force of the planet Ceres or Capella IV. In 2267, the leader of these people (Teer) was Akaar, followed by his brother, Maab. (TOS novelization: Friday's Child) Despite Leonard James Akaar being exiled from Capella IV after Keel's coup, Akaar was regarded as the rightful teer of the Ten Tribes. Akaar often noted that the Ten Tribes were not ready for membership in the Federation.
