The Armed Forces of Ibutho are the military forces of Ibutho izulu. They include the Army, Air Force, and Navy. They are led by the Ibutho monarch in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief with the assitance of a joint service council, the head of government and cabinet, and the minister and Ministry of Defense. A uniformed corps of natural and medical scientists, called Heaven-Doctors (olimi wezulu: izinyanga zokwalusa) and Doctors (olimi wezulu: izinyanga), form the research and development and healthcare services of the military and are embedded with deployed troops on an as-needed basis.
