The Headbanger Headset is an upcoming exclusive voice chat peripheral for Wii which is set for release in October 2010 for North America and Europe. Developed by Performance Designed Products, this headset was licensed by Nintendo. The headset is similar to that of Wii Speak, but requires a special driver that Wii Speak compatible games as of October 2010 do not include and therefore are incompatible. Currently the headset only supports two games; the upcoming first person shooters Conduit 2 and Call of Duty: Black Ops and will be available for both prior to their launch dates. The product has an expected retail price of $24.99.
