Federal District Route 100 begins in Clover Hill, Federal District at the main entrance to Naval Station Clover Hill along the six-lane, limited-access divided freeway Altamont Highway. The route then heads west out of the town into woodland, with off-ramps to various military installations in the area, such as Altamont Naval Air Station, and Fort Woodacre. After a cloverleaf interchange providing access to the National Harbor seaport area, the route turns northwest, through a wooded area, serving residential areas. As the route turns to the north, it passes through several unincorporated communities, such as Dalvikston, Fort Cameron, and Landover. When the route passes through Landover, it meets the Koiwai Beltway, and continues onto northbound National Route 404, through the Sunshine Gat
