The Nationale Assemblee is the lower house of the Vanukese Parlement, the upper house being the Vanukese Senaat. The Nationale Assemblee is the main law making body of Vanuku, and is the body elected during a general election. Members are elected on a regional list system, where each Staat acts as a multi-member constituency. The number of members each Staat elects to the Nationale Assemblee is determined by its population. The elected members of the Staat are determined by the D'Hondt distribution method. Currently there are 100 members in the Nationale Assemblee.
