Thomas was taking passengers along his branch line when he discovered an Old Tram Car in the yard at the bus garage. Bertie told Thomas that the tram car was used on the old tramway, long before buses took to the roads. The following day, the Fat Controller told Thomas to take the old tram car's rails to the scrapyards, but Thomas had a better idea and decided to take the old tram car to the Rare Breeds Centre, as it needed more holidaymakers. The tram car was renovated and is now pulled by Ned the horse around the Rare Breeds Centre.
