MV Megan Beyel is a down range support ship, mainly used as a transport vehicle to support other ships offloading cargo during operations. It is run entirely by a civilian crew that is contracted to aide the military vessels where needed. Its small size allows it to operate in conditions and ports that other vessels would not be able to operate in. It is also powerful enough to aid the military tankers including T-5 classes into harbor so that the local tugs need not be relied upon. The ship was named after the daughter of the ship's owner.
