The FG-1000 is a mobile, floating turret deployed by the Galactic Federation on board the BOTTLE SHIP in Metroid: Other M. Individual FG-1000 units are capable of charging and firing a slow-moving bolt of energy at targets, but pairs of the robots can generate a Wave Beam barrier between them to cut off narrow choke points. The machines are not particularly robust, and can be destroyed with a few shots of any weapon. They appear in or near tactically important areas of the BOTTLE SHIP such as the outer corridors of the Desert Refinery, the gravity chambers leading to Sector Zero, and the Bioweapon Research Center, and are often encountered near another robot model with which they share many design elements, the FG II-Graham.
