Alexander Hugh "Alex" Norton (born 27 January 1950) is a Scottish actor. He is probably best known for his roles as DCI Matt Burke in Taggart, and Eddie in the Renford Rejects. In the unaired pilot episode of The Blackadder, Alex Norton played Lord McAngus. Norton returned for the first series, where he made a one-time guest appearance as Dougal MacAngus.
