Jeremy Shane Guthrie (born April 8, 1979) is a right-handed starting pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles. Guthrie was born in Roseburg, Oregon and grew up in Ashland, Oregon, attending Ashland High School. Then he attended Brigham Young University before transferring to Stanford University, where he was a starting pitcher. Guthrie served a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Spain. He currently lives in Arizona with his wife Jenny and his daughter Avery.
