Melsk Thraus grew up around The Academy of Carida, where his grandfather had taught strategy to new imperial ground commanders and fleet officers alike. Melsk was placed in cadet training from a young age, learning the values of the Empire first hand. He was indoctrinated to the concepts of a pro human ideology, and unquestioning service through an iron fist. Melsk’s grandfather had a proud history serving as a commander aboard a variety of starships, specifically to train new pilots in starfighter maneuvers. His grandfather, Malan Thraus, was one of the leading voices in new tie fighter design, until his death at the hands of a rebel commando raid. Following the Carida system’s destruction at the hands of a rogue Jedi, Melsk and his family, were evacuated with the other imperial forces a
