Hamilton worked directly with Jim Henson on multiple animated shorts or experiments in the early 1960s, including Drums West, Shearing Animation, and Cat and Mouse (the latter two using the same soundtrack, featuring the full Chico Hamilton Quintet). Around 1963, Henson recorded audio with Hamilton for a proposed jazz-related film, "Look Jazz, See Jazz," which was never completed.
