On the October 31, 2013, edition of TNA Impact!, the TNA World Heavyweight Championship was vacated after champion A.J Styles left the company. The title was put up in a tournament featuring the top eight wrestlers. The tournament will start on the November 7, 2013, edition of TNA Impact!. The tournament matches will have stipulations, selected by the "Wheel of Dixie".
