Franny is a wise Saanen goat and a supporting character in the film Racing Stripes. She is voiced by Whoopi Goldberg. Franny is frequently seen alongside with Shetland Pony Tucker. She is an elderly Saanen goat who constantly encourages Stripes to pursue his dream and gives him many words of advice. When The animals eventually convince Nolan to allow Channing to ride Stripes, Stripes is discouraged, having just found out he's a zebra. Franny reveals to Stripes that Tucker used used to help Nolan train racehorses, including Sir Trenton. Tucker upholds a grumpy personality after years of training horses who never give him any thanks for his help. This encourages Stripes to begin training with Nolan and Channing.
