Misshapen are the weakest form of Tainted, a group of demons that possess the ability to hurl spheres of lightning at their foes. They move slowly because of their hulking forms. Misshapen prefer to use their melee attack to strike any adventurers that step close into their paths, retreating and using their Lightning Globes when wounded. They have a natural resistance to lightning and are immune to it on Hell difficulty. The Misshapen are the first of the Tainted the player discovers. They can be found lurking in the Underground Passage that connects the Stony Field to the Dark Wood.
