Sir Paxton of Nond (pronounced PAKS-tuhn) is a Tortallan nobleman and knight. He is a member of the prominent Nond family. He took Joren of Stone Mountain as his squire in 452 HE, suggesting a friendship with the Stone Mountain family. When Joren was put on trial for paying two men to kidnap Lalasa Isran, the maid of Keladry of Mindelan and stash her on Balor's Needle, so Kel would be forced to miss the examinations for fourth years, Sir Paxton claimed innocence of all knowledge of Joren's wrongdoing. Turomot of Wellam, the Lord Magistrate, believed him, as he seemed anxious enough about it and apologized to him and Keladry.
