The Serpent Trench is a rapid-moving underwater current that flows from Mobliz to Nikeah in Final Fantasy VI. Sabin, Cyan and Gau use a diving helmet to swim through the trench to Nikeah. Sometimes inside the Serpent Trench the player needs to choose the way, either to the left or to the right. If the player chooses the way to the right, they will enter a cave (if the player needs to access the menu, they should head there), and, if they go to left, the journey through the Serpent Trench ends sooner.
