Murray Garbutt (born June 29, 1971 in Hanna, Alberta) is a retired Canadian centre. He played junior hockey for the Medicine Hat Tigers and Spokane Chiefs from 1987 to 1991. He won the Memorial Cup in 1988 with the Tigers and in 1991 with the Chiefs. The Minnesota North Stars chose him 60th overall in the 1989 NHL Entry Draft. The San Jose Sharks picked him in the 1991 NHL Expansion Draft and he turned pro in 1991-92 with the Kansas City Blades. Garbutt took the 1992-93 season off and then played in 1993-94 with the Nashville Knights and the Huntington Blizzard. He retired in 1994.
