In The Turakian Age, the kingdom of Valicia is alternately ruled by Yellow Kings, and the Black Kings. The Black Kings are warriors, whilst the Yellow Kings are mages, the line being unable to produce two generations the same. The Yellow Kings are fair-haired and slighter in build, whilst the Black Kings are dark-haired and bulky.
