Rubi Rubalcaba (December 31, 1931) is a retired Mexican Luchador, or professional wrestler who is best known under the ring name Adorable Rubí. As Adorable Rubí he was one of the pioneers of the Exotico wrestling style, mixing Cross-dressing with wrestling to create sexually ambiguous characters. The Adorable Rubí character was inspired by Dizzy Gardenia, the first successful Exotico character. Adorable Rubí, Sergio el Hermoso and Bello Greco formed a group called Ola Lila (the "Lilac Wave") who wrestled all over Mexico. Of the three Adorable Rubí saw the most success in the ring, defeating Ciclón Veloz, Jr. to win the Mexican National Middleweight Championship on April 6, 1971.
