Harry Joseph Lennix is an American character actor. On House, M.D., he portrayed jazz legend John Henry Giles, the patient in the episode DNR. Lennix came to acting third-hand. Originally an excellent student and star athlete, he decided to try out for a high school play while waiting for baseball season to begin. From there, he majored in Acting and Directing at Northwestern University, eventually moving to Los Angeles.
